Party Girl.
I’m praying this breaks through; it’s a dope song from one of my favorite artists and inspirations.
He keeps dropping nice tunes that should serve to be great first singles (see: G.R.I.N.D, Last Man Standing, Another One Down, and Summertime), but for some reason the CD keeps getting pushed back… I can’t help but wonder if those songs, which I thought were dope, are still going to be on “Is This Too Orange?”. I’ve been waiting for this sophomore album for a really longgggggggggggggggggg time. Now it’s slated for a release this fall. When I started getting ready for the album, I was getting prepared for grade 12, dude. Now I’ll be in 2nd year of university when this thing comes out. *Fingers crossed that this release date gets confirmed (or even moved to the summer).

“Do you get tired of defending Asher Roth?”
I’m sure a lot of Asher Roth fans can relate. A couple weeks a go a friend of mine asked me “Do you get tired of defending Asher Roth?” My answer? Hell yes. Everytime we get on the subject of hip-hop music we talk about Asher Roth. “Why do you like Asher Roth? He is so wack” -__- , “His Production is Sloppy”(His Production is sloppy??? reallyyy?? I think not) Yes, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I just don’t understand why people dislike this guy! He raps about real shit! I never get tired of listening to Asher Roth, he is that good. I absolutely love Asher. How can you not like him? lol Even my Dad likes Asher Roth!! I don’t get it? I Just don’t get it…..

The change of Asher’s art
Going off of what Marie said in response to supcahill’s question about our thoughts on Asher’s change in art and music, he definitely has shifted from his frat boy persona and reputation. In one sense, that’s a lame thing; some have been saying he doesn’t seem as fun-loving and chill as he was when he released “Asleep in the Bread Aisle,” specifically “I Love College.” HOWEVER, I think I speak for the majority of Asher’s true fans when I say that he is still the same amusing and confident artist he was four or five years ago. Like it was said before, he’s moved towards this much more positive and progressive outlook on both the music industry and society in general. He’s brilliant, truly. He mixes a lot of that progressive attitude and his traditional carefree personality in “Pabst & Jazz.” He’s definitely evolved, in my opinion, for the better and will continue to do so.

Do you mean the change in his earlier music to the more recent ones? I definitely think he is progressing for the better. Songs like G.R.I.N.D. show that he is moving toward expressing a positive and uplifting outlook. I feel like this year is going to be his year and I’m really excited
